MR. TOMMY MOTTOLA ACKNOWLEDGED HIS LOVE FOR THALIA!

1st they showed Mr. Mottola having dinner with Emilio Estefan, they approached him and asked if it was true he broke it off.....he responded "ABSOULTLY NOT" they then asked if there will be a wedding "I love her and I am going to marry her! So now that you know, please leave, your interrupting my dinner!" Next, they show Thalia arriving in Mexico, there was a huge crowd awaiting her, they mainly focused on "Mundo de Cristal fan club" the reporter asked them to sing "Arrasando" while they waited which they very happily and loudly did. Thalia's mom was there to meet her, Thalia as always very pleasant with her fans and the reporter! She's wearing a very interesting attire! I believe the black wig (from the "Gracias a Dios" video) may be back for the "Arrasando" video. EGyLF showed a clip where they found TnT (Thalia and Tommy) together, Thalia was in a Cleopatra costume (Mr. Mottola was not in costume) they were leaving a restaurant. It was kind of interesting that you saw Thalia walk out like royalty with Mr. Mottola a few steps behind.

THALIA HAS ARRIVED WITH SUCH EXCITEMENT IN THE AIR IN MEXICO CITY!

Thalia returned to Mexico City yesterday October 29 greeted by such a huge mob who were die hard fans of the missed artist! Our friend Jacquline Ocampo and Cinthya Cadena were among the fans who were at the airport who had greeted Thalia. Jacqueline even had touched Thaliaís hands for a few seconds as I felt the excitement in her words. Jacque said that Thalia looked very young and beautiful with her curly hair, wearing a blue jeans and white blouse wearing also a sunglasses. The fans were screaming loud saying "Welcome to Mexico Thaly!" as she greeted them ?Como estas? Thalia rode in a gray Mercedes car. Thalia was accompanied as always by her loving mother. It was such an exciting arrival of Thalia!

Desea conquistar al público bilingüe

Thalía graba en Miami dos versiones del video de su canción 'Arrasando', una en español y otra en inglés

Miami, Estados Unidos.- Casi 20 horas le bastaron a Thalía para grabar las dos versiones, en español y en inglés, del videoclip de su canción "Arrasando".

Con la ayuda de "viejos conocidos" como el director colombiano Simon Brand, y los mexicanos Gustavo Mata, en el diseño de vestuario, y Javier García, en las coreografías, la intérprete ocupó casi todo el jueves para concluir el rodaje de ambos videos en los estudios Ice Palace, donde declaró que realizar una versión anglo del tema tiene como objetivo apuntalar su presencia en mercados de Asia y Europa, pero que para ella ya no es novedoso cantar en otro idioma.

"Lo que quiero decir es que me encanta investigar, me encanta escucharme con otros sonidos, pero no por interés digamos mercadotécnico. Ya grabé en francés, en portugués y me gustaría hacerlo en italiano.

"Desde En Éxtasis, grabé un disco en inglés para el mercado asiático que se llamó Nandito Ako y tuvo una excelente respuesta y me dio muchas gratificaciones. En este disco hice versiones en inglés de 'Entre el Mar y una Estrella', 'Regresa a Mí' y 'Arrasando', pero no me gusta estar gritándolo y diciéndolo a los cuatro vientos.

Lo hago para mercados como Alemania, donde la música en inglés predomina, mercados como Italia e Inglaterra, donde la gente latina tiene mucha aceptación. Allá hay mucho que atender", consideró.

Con un costo aproximado de 200 mil dólares, en ambas versiones del videoclip Thalía lucirá una imagen extremadamente juvenil y estará rodeada de bailarines en diversos sets, como una tornamesa gigante, un cubo de colores y una pista de baile.

"Quisimos hacer algo más dinámico que en los dos anteriores videos. No hay ninguna historia, pero la cámara ama a Thalía y ella ama la cámara, eso es básico. El ritmo, la letra, ayuda mucho para tener imágenes muy dinámicas.

"Cuando trabajo con ella, tenemos una química muy interesante, es súper trabajadora. No quiero ofender a nadie, pero ojalá todos los artistas fueran como Thalía, porque se involucra desde el vestuario hasta la posproducción", indicó Brand, responsable de los videos de "Entre el Mar y una Estrella" y "Regresa a Mí" y otros de Chayanne, Elvis Crespo, Son By Four y Christian Castro.

Colaborador de Thalía desde hace más de cuatro años, Gustavo Mata afirmó que en el video la artista cambió su imagen pero no de manera radical.

"El video lo hicimos con la idea de que Thalía se viera más juvenil, de que llegara a más público. Será un video de ambiente festivo y por eso hemos transformado un poquito el look, y sin dejar de ser innovador, será más juvenil", detalló Mata, quien añadió que este fin de año será el más especial en la vida de la ex Timbiriche, y dijo que quiere contribuir a su felicidad.

"El año próximo voy a estar con ella en el tour, pero será después de su boda y de la luna de miel. Ella ya tiene planeadas las cosas de su boda, pero yo encantado de ayudarle. El vestido ya está más avanzado que nada, pero le voy a echar la mano en algo", insistió.

A su vez, el coreógrafo Javier García, ex integrante del grupo de baile de Paula Abdul y 'La Toya' Jackson, precisó que aunque tiene una relación de varios años con Thalía, es la primera ocasión en que colabora en un video suyo.

"De lo que aprendo de mis maestros de Nueva York, le muestro a ella varias opciones, varias coreografías, y ella elige. Siempre le ha gustado lo vanguardista y ahora, por ejemplo, le encanta mover las manos, hacer señas con las manos, como diciendo algo; eso se verá mucho en 'Arrasando'", aseveró.

REPORTER: We are in Miami Florida where in this moment is filming the Thalia´s video "Arrasando", with a production that exceeds the 200,000 dollars of presuponer.

Thalia: The video is sensational . For example, there is the idea of one big table where is playing a disc and in the moment that the needle is ready when the music starts , we discovered that the needle is the heel of my shoe, and I¹m the one who is playing the disc.

There are other podium for example: where it¹s full of microphones around me, and I¹m singing the rap of the song.

Not only in my country its pretty good for me, for example in Greece the other day, they gave me a golden disc and I didn¹t have an idea that over there, people loves my music. In Spain, they gave me the second platinum disc, and also here in USA and I¹m so happy with the results of this CD.

Reporter: In your videos , do you decide what to put or what not to put? Not only for Latino America but all the other aspects in every kind of thinking. What do you do?.

Thalia: Well first I have to show my Latin origins, the Latin Woman that I am and also give little flavors like a taste of the European flavour, or might be more international, or more American. I leave that to the Videos director¹s or the producers decides about it.

I put my Latin flavor and we make a perfect remix for the video results and arrives in a lot of places without forgetting my Latin American market, that is my base.

Miami, Estados Unidos.- Camuflajeada entre más de una decena de anillos plateados, Thalía no se separa de la sortija que le obsequió Tommy Mottola, y aunque afirmó que actualmente su vida está llena del amor de su familia, sus amigos y su pareja, se refirió a la joya como "un anillo amistoso".

Rodeada de algunos de los Discos de Oro y Platino que ha obtenido su reciente álbum, Arrasando, la cantante y compositora expresó con una risa nerviosa que el lujoso diamante que porta en la mano izquierda, posee un significado más emotivo que económico.

"Es un anillo amistoso. Es simplemente algo material que no tiene el valor como el momento y el sentimiento con el que me fue dado.

"Creo que mi vida en sí, en estos momentos, está llena de amor y satisfacción, tanto en mi profesión como con mi familia, mis amigos y con mi pareja. Estoy en un momento muy a gusto, disfrutando y arrasando con lo que se deje", dijo.

No obstante, la intérprete de "Entre El Mar y Una Estrella", indicó que, pese a que se modificó la fecha original de su boda con el empresario estadounidense, podría realizarse antes de que concluya el año.

"Tal vez, tal vez... Ustedes (los periodistas) me han cambiado la fecha no se cuántas veces. Primero, me habían dicho que me iba a casar no sé en qué fecha y ya había mandado a hacer invitaciones, ya había apartado iglesia, y luego ya dijeron que se cancelaba.

"Ahora dijeron que es otra fecha, y entonces me tengo que arreglar de nuevo con los de las invitaciones, ya no quieren soltarme la lana de vuelta, así que pónganse de acuerdo y díganme cuándo va a ser", bromeó.

El encargado de confeccionar su vestido de novia, agregó, no ha sido elegido, pero expresó que le encantan los diseños mexicanos.

"Hasta Mitzy se enojó conmigo, porque dijeron que Christian Dior o Emanuel Úngaro me lo iban a hacer, entonces Mitzy dijo: 'no, ya no te lo quiero hacer'. Y ya no me lo va a querer hacer.

"A lo mejor es Mitzy. Ya ven que soy muy nacionalista, entonces a ver, saquen sus conclusiones", sentenció.

Filma video eufórico

Además de adelantar que viajará dentro de escasos días a la Ciudad de México, para acudir como figura central de programas de televisión como Otro Rollo y Al Fin de Semana, Thalía informó que hoy filmará el videoclip del tema que da título a su álbum, y será dirigido por Simon Brandt, quien se encargó también de los videos "Entre el Mar y Una Estrella" y "Regresa a Mí".

"Ésta canción permite jugar más coreografías y con sets, porque el rap de la letra dice tantas cosas que se pueden utilizar muchas imágenes. Siempre participo directamente en la idea visual de mis videos, y en 'Arrasando' habrá una tornamesa gigante con un disco de vinil enorme y la aguja que se pone para tocar el disco va a ser mi tacón.

"Esas ideas las estamos creando los dos, siempre hacemos las cosas juntos. Será un video dinámico, la canción es euforia total, súper alegre, es una inyección de positivismo, es simplemente para pasártela bien, no preocuparse de nada", detalló Thalía.

La artista reveló que en el verano del 2001 iniciará una gira internacional que incluirá países como Indonesia, Filipinas, Francia e Italia, porque quiere consolidar su presencia en esos mercados, pero también buscar espacio para estudiar ofertas actorales.

"Nunca me esperé que la respuesta fuera igual de maravillosa en otros países que con las novelas. Este disco me ha dado muchas satisfacciones, pero sigo obviamente trabajando algunos nuevos scripts para televisión o para cine, estamos leyendo cosas, pero estamos tranquilos".

Thalia está pasando en la actualidad por una etapa maravillosa a nivel profesional y personal, ya que al hecho de que haya conseguido, por ejemplo, un doble disco de platino en España, se le une su actual situación sentimental, compartiendo su vida desde hace algún tiempo con un joven llamado Toni: "Somos felices, la verdad es que yo no busqué una pareja, sino un 'parejo' en todo lo que soy, mi equivalente en hombre, y lo encontré, un parejo emocional, profesional, en todos los aspectos y estamos felices y tenemos nuestros planes". Thalia will be in Spain October 11 - October 13. She will be arriving Madrid, Wednesday, October 11 on AirFrance #2000 @ 7.35pm.

CARMEN Guerrero Nakpil, purporting to be decrying the Pinay obsession with "Fernando Jose," but still unable to resist commenting on the Venezuelan hunk, wrote in her column in Malaya that his Pinoy fans "are really in love with the Tagalog voice (in the telenovela 'Rosalinda'), but they don't know it." I laughed when I read this because I remembered what my friend Louee Padilla told me recently. Louee, a confessed "Rosalinda" junkie who would suspend meetings of the Baguio chapter of our women's group Pilipina just so they could all watch the telenovela, says she would still have been in thrall of Fernando Carillo, the actor, had she not heard his real speaking voice. "I was so impressed with his baritone on 'Rosalinda', but when I heard him speak in interviews, I was dismayed," said Louee. She was especially turned off by Carillo's heavily accented English. "He would say 'lehhve,' when he really meant 'love,'" she griped. Chitang Nakpil described Carillo's voice, in the Spanish original, as "actually thin, reedy and nasal." But the Filipino actor who dubbed his lines in Pilipino endowed Fernando Jose with "a strong, passionate baritone." Would that we Pinays each be given the perfect lover according to our colonial standards: a man with the looks and physique of Fernando Jose, and the voice and passion of his Pinoy alter ego.

* * * BY THE WAY, those of you who, like me, caught only the tail-end of the national obsession, can do your remedial work by tuning in to ABS-CBN Channel 2 late at night, before "Pulso Aksyon Balita" goes on the air. The last time I caught the show, ''Rosalinda'' had just broken off with Fernando Jose and had yet to suffer amnesia and forget the love of her life. So it's not yet too late. I understand that Channel 9 is airing a new telenovela on the customary early evening time slot that stars Fernando Carillo but without Thalia, alas. Maybe that's why this new soap has yet to set off a culture quake of the same intensity as the one in whose wake it is riding.
