    • "El Gordo y La Flaca" covered the surprise birthday celebration of Thalia on
    August 26 which was being organized by her boyfriend Tommy Mottola. The reason why they showed a 30 second clip about 4 times repeatedly was because Lili Estefan (niece to Emilio).
    On the night of August 25, Tommy told Thalia they were invited   to attend a friend’s party and that she would ride a yacht with him to that said party in New York. So, Thalia, went without suspecting the party was her surprise Birhtday Party. While they were on  the yacht after a few seconds of darkness, bright lights, a mariachi and  family and friends greeted her a "Happy Birthday"!
    Thalia was very surprised and said that this year’s b-day party was  the happiest and that she is
    really surprised to see all her good friends and family there  with her in this special occasion.
     Then, "El Gordo y La Flaca" made a phone call to Thalia (in New York) and she expressed her happiness from  surprise b-day party given to her by her loved ones and friends
    along Tommy as the one and only organizer of the event. In the small clip shown she is  next to her bithday cake (who had a "Rosalinda" figure on top) and Tommy who is giving her a hug full of joy and love. It is seen that Thalia also loves him back because there is a moment when Thalia is also holding his hands for a sec. as he embraces her.
    By the time the party ended it was August 26. Thalia's officila brith date.

    • Estudia Thalía nueva telenovela para realizar en el 2000

     La cantante y actriz mexicana Thalía estudia diversas propuestas para reaparecer en el 2000 en una telenovela.

    Ciudad de México .- La cantante y actriz mexicana  Thalía estudia diversas propuestas para reaparecer en el 2000 en una telenovela, indicó hoy el diario "Esto" citando "una fuente cercana" a la estrella.
    Thalía, quien tiene un contrato de exclusividad con la cadena mexicana Televisa, continuará con su carrera pese a que, según la misma fuente, contraería  matrimonio en fecha próxima con el director de Sony Internacional, Tony Mottola.
    La misma fuente sostuvo también que la empresa Televisa tiene un programa de trabajo para la artista para varios años.

    • Thalia y su Enamorado se la pasan como verdaderos millionarios

        Thalia y tommy se han comprometido , hecho fue confirmado por la propia hermana de ella, Laura Zapata, antes las camaras del programa "El Gordo Y La Flaca", y comento emocionada sobre el valioso anillo de diamantes que el ejecutivo le habia obsequiado a su hermanita para formalizar el compromiso, pero que todavia no tenian fecha de boda.
        Como verdaderas celebridades viajaron los enamorados, pues se transladaron de nueva Yotk a Miami en el avion privado de Sony Music, de la que Tommy es ejecutivo, para celebrar el cumpleanos de Laura Zapata, con una elegante cena privada en el exclusivo restaurante Tuscan de miami beach. Para no ser sorprendidos por los chismosos y los fotografos , entraron al edificio por la puerta posterior y se acomodaron  en una mesa reservada.Compartieron la cena con la homenajeada, su novio Jaime, la famosa actriz y animadora Rosie O'Donell, quien estaba con su amiga, y otras dos personas. Al menos esto fue lo, que pudo captar nuestro intrepido paparazzi, pues las medidas de seguridad fueron estrictas.
        Posteriormente la parejita se dirigio a una fiesta privada en el hotel Cardoza, donde permaneceron alrededor de una hora, y luego se retiraron a descansar  la mansion se Star Island, propiedad de los Estefans.
        El Sabado abordaron una limusina que los condujo hasta el aeropuerto, donde su jet privado los esperaba para volver a la Gran Manzana, donde Thalia esta grabando su nuevo material discografico y sobra decir que es bajo el sello Sony.
        Tambien cachamos a Laurita paseando muy romantica con su nuevo enamorado, quien la acompano durante la semana que estuvo en la capital del sol para cumplir compromisos profesionales. Los enamorados aprovecharon para hacer algunas compras en el Bayside, uno de los mejores centros commerciales  el la ciudad. Estarian comprando regalos para la casa de Thalias o para su propio nidito de Amor?

    • Rosalinda is headed to Univision !

    There is an article in this month's magazine that states what is new and what will continue airing on Univision. Well, none other than the famous Mexican telenovela is printed on there. That's right, it's Rosalinda along with the other one-El Previlegio de Amar. No release dates were given but it is just funny how Rosalinda was filmed after the other one, yet they are both announced on the same sentence. And, not to worry-our best Thalia news source will still continue to air-El Gordo Y La Flaca.

    • Kushner-Locke's Gran Canal Latino Launches in U.S. on EchoStar's DISH Network

    On Tuesday they announced that the satellite channel Gran Canal Latino (GCL) is now available in the United States as part of EchoStar Communications Corp's (Spanish-language package on the DISH Network(tm).

    The DISH Network's package is meeting a large demand for Spanish-language programming,
    and is growing at a rate of more than 15,000 subscribers per month. The DISH Network is
    compensating GCL on a monthly, per-subscriber basis.

    ``The U.S. Hispanic population is over 31 million and growing, yet this community has been largely
    disregarded by a majority of television providers,'' said Michael Schwimmer, vice president of
    Programming at EchoStar.

    ``DISH Network has made a point to bring the entire U.S. Spanish-speaking audience the most
    diverse television programming that complements every area of interest. No other television
    programming provider offers the extensive lineup of Spanish-language programs as DISH
    Network.''

    K-L continues to expand its productions for the Spanish-language community with its upcoming
