Thalia wins 2 awards at the Tu M™sica Awards Show. Thalia was honored with two awards at the Tu M™sica Awards Show Tuesday, August 29th in Puerto Rico.

She obtained the distinction in the female pop category for her album "Arrasando" and also took home the female musical trajectory award.

As somehow being thought of as the image of Marilyn Monroe of this new generation:

Thalia said that, she thinks Marilyn Monroe was a gorgeous woman and as image is concerned, has set a standard perhaps to follow.

How does Thalia takes care of her figure?

Thalia takes care of her health by eating fruits and vegetable, drinking lots of water, having a positive attitude in life, and practising yoga although she also eat lots of greasy, salty food. She doesn¹t like to eat sweets.

What does Thalia say about herself:

I am a happy and a cheerful person and a positive thinker. I can¹t ask anything more from God. To ask for more would be a sin already. I am a privileged woman surrounded by the love of family, friends, happy with my work and counting on the affection of the public. I have found a love who can protect me. I like to learn from other people¹s experiences or from people who can absorb experiences. My father died when I was very young and so perhaps that¹s the reason why I look for maturity in men.

On being a Mexican:

Thalia adores Mexico, the land of her birth. Nothing else moves her of being a Mexican. It enchants her to die in her mother country. She becomes emotional whenever she hears her song "Amor a la Mexicana" being played outside in the streets in the celebration of their being a great nation.

On social and moral issues:

Thalia is engaged in many charity causes and one of them, is putting up a foundation for battered and violated women and children which she will be the President, having great singer artists like Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Donna Summer and the like, willing to help her in fulfilling this goal with the intention of asking help from some ambassadors from different countries world wide.

On artists imitating her style in singing:

It¹s a flattery. I even have encountered many transvestites imitating and singing like me.

In conquering new frontiers with her music:

I have not yet been to Germany but, in the near future, in September, I intend to bring my music there and also to other countries which basic language is English. I intend to have a promotional concert tour by next year.

On recording in English:

After receiving a huge success in her first effort in recording in English for the Philippine market, which consisted of some songs taken from her "En Extasis" record album, and some songs in the Tagalog language, the Philippine¹s official language, three years ago, Thalia have recorded in English again, having four songs taken from her latest record album "Arrasando" for new markets like Japan, Germany and England and to other countries which basic language is English.

Funniest moment of her career:

In Mexico while performing on a disco joint her black trousers were ripped from waist to waist. In Spain when her dress with so much flower on all sides with tubes were torn and the tube fell down on her when she raised her hands to greet the crowd.

On accepting villain roles in the future:

Thalia was enchanted by her character of Bella Aldama in her soap "MariMar" and is enchanted to play a seductive villain in the future. Thalia describes herself also as quite mad, wild, impulsive, thrown and sometimes makes barbaric surprises that surprises her friends.

On being very popular world wide:

There came a time when Thalia was drunk with fame when she was part of the teen-age musical group "Timbiriche" having such power of being famous, having received all their whims and caprices, of being a little monster, her mother and other members of her family pulled her down and woke her up to reality and reminded Thalia of just being a normal being like all the others.

About her perfume:

Thalia intends to sell her "Thalia" perfumes in department stores world wide but, for now, is only selling through her own page at Thalia.com for the US market.

In receiving tributes:

Thalia is vary thankful and flattered by having been given tributes in recognition of her many great artistic achievements.

On appearing totally naked in any art form or cause:

Thalia does not see any need to appear totally naked as she prefers to appear wearing sensual, bold and very sexy clothes which she thinks is more showy than being totally naked.

On the subject of ageing:

Thalia is not fearful about getting old. With these scientific advances that helps to slow down the process of physical ageing somehow, Thalia could depend on them, but, however, Thalia thinks that, as mental ageing is concerned, the learning process should not die there. As one approaches ageing, this should not stop him/her in developing more of their brain as learning new things is part and parcel of growing old.

Her most memorable birthday yet:

Thalia remembered the time when Mr. Tommy Mottola gave her a surprised birthday party celebrating it with her family and good friends.

On her wedding day:

Thalia does not want to get any monetary gain in getting married, like having it shown on television for, marriage is something intimate and is a special union, a bond that will change one¹s life and with new beginnings, thus, which should not turn into a profiting opportunity event. She will only share some highlights of the memorable event through her official website at Thalia.com. Thinks that she might get married in Miami, only having close relatives and friends to celebrate this event and enjoy it till dawn. Likes to have a mariachi band part of her wedding celebration.

On how Thalia met Tommy:

When Thalia was finishing the independent movie "Mambo Café" in New York, after a hard days work, feeling exhausted and having a day off from it, she asked Emilio to introduce her to his friend whom he would like her to meet for he thinks he and Thalia is like a twin in many ways, and it turned out to be Mr. Tommy Mottola. According to Thalia, their romance bloomed in Miami, FL. while she was filming "Rosalinda".

What does Thalia think of Maria Carey:

Mariah is a girl with a great voice, with fortune, very successful, and whose songs reached the sun.

On Tommy:

I knew from the very beginning that he is my twin soul. Thalia has learned from her past experiences on love and made many sacrifices in learning to be more human.

In marrying someone who is not a Mexican:

Thalia does not think that, to marry someone who is not like your own nationality, would mean leaving and forgetting her roots. Thalia adores being a Mexican and said that, love does not have races. It doesn¹t matter if one marries a Chinese, or a Brazilian or a Cuban. Love is love without color. After marriage, Thalia intends to continue with her career, discovering new beginnings and horizons to grow more as an artist. Thalia always create new goals after achieving old ones.

On Ricky Martin or Luis Miguel:

Thalia identifies herself more with Ricky Martin. Both of them started very young in their careers. Both have made soap operas and they started as a solo artist at the same time. They are both like gypsies who likes to travel and seek new frontiers.

Luis Miguel is a friend. Luis Miguel once tried to court Thalia but, Thalia was not interested enough in him to accept gifts of affection from him.

How many children does Thalia like to have:

I like to be like a mother rabbit having many offspring but, we¹ll start with two first, for, it¹s a big responsibility even having only one child.

On her ex- boyfriends:

I have good relations with them who have shared my feelings. You cannot set aside part of them which gave some wonderful moments in your life.

On the subject of having a short hair:

In fact, Thalia is obsessed of short black wigs which she can wear as a camouflage when she goes out.
