La cantante y actriz mexicana
Thalía regresará a la pantalla chica este año. La bella, que
sigue siendo artistas exclusiva de Televisa, garantizó que ya
está en pláticas para protagonizar todavía este año la
telenovela Cecilia Valdez:
- Es una linda historia que al menos la comunidad cubana la
conoce muy bien. Hace más de 6 años que tengo este proyecto en
mis manos, pero solamente ahora será posible llevarlo a la
pantalla - informó la intérprete de 'Arrasando'.
La teleserie tendrá pocos capítulos y será producida por Carla
Estrada hasta el fin del año.

singer/actress, Thalia. Kenmark is set to design, manufacture,
distribute and market her new line of eyewear. "This is a

Recognized at this year's Latin Billboard Awards held in Miami,
she was honored with the first ever "Premios Estrella" (Star
Award). For President George W. Bush, Thalia performed
traditional Latin folk music in the first annual "5 de Mayo"
celebration in Washington, D.C. With her more frequent demanded
appearances in the U.S., and her recent marriage to Tommy

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Kenmark Group’s
Lancer International division is launching its new, 26-piece
Thalia eyewear collection this month (VM, September 24,
2001, page 3).
The eyewear has been developed
with Mexican-born singer/actress Thalia, who has garnered
worldwide attention with appearances in popular soap operas
and with a multi-platinum album, Arrasando. She is
broadening her international appeal by releasing an
English-language album this spring and starring in a Dr.
Pepper commercial in the U.S. “Working with Thalia has been
amazing,” said David Duralde, director of product design for
Kenmark. “Thalia is electric, and her collection is a gift
to fans and all young women who live life vibrantly and
passionately.”
The new Thalia collection
offers 17 ophthalmic frames and nine sunwear styles; its
target audience is young women aged 15 to 25.
The collection includes both
metal and plastic styles in
youthful, contemporary eyeshapes with smaller eyesizes, in a
broad palette of vibrant colorations such as cinnamon,
raspberry, and shiny gold; most ophthalmic frames have soft
pvc nosepads. The sunglasses offer coordinating lens colors.
The new ophthalmic styles are
priced to the dispenser at $34.95 to $53.70, the sunwear
styles at $41.20 to $47.95. Each Thalia style, available
worldwide, comes with a case and is covered by a three-year
warranty.

La cantante y actriz Thalia lanzará
el próximo día 16 de marzo su línea exclusiva de lentes que
ella misma diseñará en el mejor estilo 'loco y divertido'.
Para este proyecto, la esposa de Tommy Mottola firmó un
contrato con la compañía Kenmark, y el lanzamiento oficial
será en la ciudad de New York.

Televisa? ::.
Dicen por ahí... que la cantante y
actriz mexicana Thalía no renovó su contrato de exclusividad
con Televisa que se venció hace algunos días.
Sin embargo, LaBotana.com investigó que Thalía continua en
Televisa, mismo porque su contrato no caducó todavía. Según la
mismísima Thalis ella tiene que grabar más algunas telenovelas
con esta emisora.

not present at the 2002 Premio Lo Nuestro::.
On the night of
February 7th, the 2002 Premio Lo Nuestro awards were
distributed in the James L. Knight Center in Florida. The
show, hosted by Marco Antonio Regil and Ferando Arau, opened
up with Paulina Rubio's opening act of "Y yo sigo aqui." The
program with a duration period of 3.5 hours on Univision
was filled with music, dancing, excitement, and lots of
controversies as always. However, it was not as big as
previous years. Sure, there were stars such as Juan
Gabriel, Jose Jose, Olga Tanon, Paulina Rubio, Kumbia Kings,
and Enrique Iglesias just to name a few. But, there was a lack
of other big stars such as Ricky Martin, Chayanne, Alejandro
Fernandez, Pedro Fernandez, Tigres del Norte, Gloria Estefan,
Shakira, and most of all Thalia.
When it comes to a night of real entertainment, the audience
expects more than revealing dresses, extravagant outfits, and
cellular phones on stage such as the one used by Lupillo
Rivera to phone his daughter making her aware of the fact that
he had won a second award. The audience wants to hear the cool
songs, see the stars and their good attitudes, and pretty much
just have a good time.
Last night was a good program but it had a bit of a tough
crowd. Regil and Arau had a tough time entertaining the guests
with their small skits. But, they did their best. Good job.
Overall, the show was okay. But, if you didn't see it, you did
not miss much.
***If we are not wrong, Thalia's name was used in the
advertisements for the 2002 show. People were misled if they
were expecting to see Thalia, for she did not show to the
occasion.*****
She did win two prizes
though: 1:

Also, do not forget that in May the 2002 Latin Billboard
Awards will take place in Florida. It will air through the
television chain Telemundo. This time, Itati Cantoral and two
other Colombian men will host the show. As we all know, Itati
is a great friend of Thalia, as well as her "comadre." Will
Thalia make an appearance at that show? The answer is not yet
known.

apertura de museo para Thalía ::.
“Thalía
está muy bien, preparando su nuevo material discográfico e
involucrada en las grabaciones de lo que será su nueva
producción”.
El
proyecto de convertir la llamada “Casa de los perros” de
la colonia Santa María la Ribera, de esta capital, en un
museo dedicado a Thalía podría consolidarse este mismo año,
informó la madre de la artista, Yolanda Payares, viuda de
Sodi.
En declaraciones, Payares, quien ha sido representante de la
también actriz y esposa del magnate de la música pop Tomy
Mottola, indicó que ahí el público podrá admirar objetos
personales de Thalía como trofeos, reconocimientos, discos
fotografías y ropa.
“Thalía está muy bien, preparando su nuevo material
discográfico e involucrada en las grabaciones de lo que será
su nueva producción”, declaró Payares, quien aseguró que
su hija no grabará telenovela este año, por lo que descartó
su participación en el proyecto “Cecilia Valdez”, de la
productora mexicana Carla Estrada.
Acerca de las posibilidades de que en el presente año la intérprete
de “Amor a la mexicana”, “Piel morena” y “Arrasando”,
se convierta en mamá, Payares afirmó que por el momento Thalía
está entregada al trabajo, por lo que encargara un bebé
hasta que destine un tiempo propicio para ello.
“Thalía está en Nueva York, trabajando mucho en este nuevo
disco que va a ser de muchas sorpresas, con temas en francés,
italiano e inglés”, agregó que doña Yolanda, quien se
reservó los nombres de los compositores de este álbum, el
cual sucede al de “Thalía grandes éxitos con banda”.
Acerca de su relación con la cantante, Payares dijo “somos
una familia muy unida y siempre estamos en contacto con ella”.

Thalía museo en Cd. de México::.
La cantante mexicana Thalía tendrá en la Ciudad de México
un museo dedicado a su persona, reveló hoy su madre Yolanda
Payares.
En declaraciones a la prensa, la madre de la artista indicó
que en el museo, para el cual aun no existe una fecha de
apertura, contendrá objetos personales de Thalía como
trofeos, reconocimientos, discos, fotografías y ropa que
utilizó en algunas presentaciones.
Por otra parte, su madre informó que la señora del magnate
de la música pop Tomy Mottola no participará en ninguna
telenovela mexicana este año porque está preparando su nuevo
disco en Nueva York.

Thalía tendrá su propio museo en la
Ciudad de México, donde el público podrá admirar objetos
personales, fotografías, discos, reconocimientos y trofeos de
la cantante, informó Yolanda Miranda, madre de la artista.
En declaraciones, Miranda indicó que se planea concretar el
proyecto en este año y el museo se ubicará en un barrio
popular capitalino.
La madre de la actriz dijo que su hija se encuentra muy
concentrada en la preparación y grabación de su nuevo álbum.
También manifestó que Thalía, esposa del presidente de Sony
Music, Tommy Mottola, está entregada a su trabajo por lo que
por el momento no se prevé que pueda pensar en la maternidad.
"Thalía está en Nueva York, trabajando mucho en este
nuevo disco que va a ser de muchas sorpresas, con temas en
francés, italiano e inglés", explicó Miranda.
El año pasado, la artista presentó su más reciente trabajo
Thalía, Grandes Éxitos con Banda, en el que se incluyeron
canciones como "Amor a la Mexicana", "Entre el
Mar y una Estrella", "Por Amor", "Arrasando"
y "María la del Barrio", además de dos temas inéditos,
con letra y música de la propia cantante, que son "Corrido
de Cuco Peña" y "La Revancha".

marca de bebida, en donde, muy sensual con un vestido rojo,
baila con mucho ritmo y sabor. Al final del comercial la
Thalis prueba el delicioso refrigerio, siempre con su bella
sonrisa.
